The Early Years Foundation Stage
The children in EYFS have had a fantastic start at Oldfield. They have settled in well and have enjoyed a number of role-play themes already!
The children were also very lucky to receive a visit from a local author called Kiera Cohen. She read her brilliant book, Tilly MacAnilly and the Rock Pool Adventure.
A fun and festive term has been had by all of the children and staff in EYFS!
The children have participated in a number of creative, festive activities during the final weeks of the term, from Christmas tree decorating to making Christmas cards.

In term 3, the children have enjoyed playing the part of doctors, nurses and chefs! Now the weather is starting to get better, we have enjoyed some time outside also.
5 4 3 2 1 Blast Off!
It has been a term of Space and Dinosaurs, and the children have loved exploring lots of different areas.
The children love playing on the Snug every afternoon. They are very good at walking and balancing on the equipment.
It has been a busy and interesting term for the children, with various visitors coming to school to carry out lots of fun activities with them! We were lucky enough to welcome Perform and the local library.
The children are now entering their final term in EYFS and it is going to be an exciting one! At the same time, we will be preparing them for their transition into Year 1 so be ready to answer lots of questions about Year 1!
