This page contains all the information and forms you will need before your child starts school in September.
We aim to make your child’s transition to school run as smoothly and happily as possible. Induction starts during the Summer term when the Early Years class teachers visit children in their Nursery or at home. It continues with a visit to their new class so they can meet and play with their future classmates and join in with some typical classroom activities.
During the early part of June a letter is sent out to accepted pupils, inviting parents to an information meeting and giving details of the date for their child’s visit. For entry to Early Years in September 2016, our new parents meeting will take place on Wednesday, 6th July at 1.45pm. We will also be holding induction sessions for the children. Children with a surname beginning A to L will visit on Tuesday 12th July and those with surnames beginning M to Z will be invited to come along on Thursday 14th July. Both sessions will start at 1.30pm for an hour. Once you have received your letter, please make sure you respond as requested as soon as possible.
Along with this letter parents will receive a “Starting School” booklet and the statutory required admission forms to be completed. Copies of these are available via the links below:
Asthma Form (if required)
Epi-pen Form (if required)
New Online Free School Meal System (if required, see letter above)
