EYFS NEW STARTERS 2019
This page contains all the information and forms you will need before your child starts school in September.
We aim to make your child’s transition to school run as smoothly and happily as possible. Induction starts during the Summer term when the Early Years class teachers will visit children in their Nursery or at home. It continues with a visit for the children to their new class so they can meet and play with their future classmates and join in with some typical classroom activities.
During the latter part of May the school will send a letter out to accepted pupils, inviting parents to an information meeting and giving details of the date for their child’s visit. For entry to Early Years in September 2019, our new parents meeting will take place on Tuesday, 11th June at 1.45pm.
We will also be holding induction visits for the children. The dates will be Tuesday, 18th June and Thursday, 20th June. The visit sessions will be allocated at a later date, and will be split by surname ie: A to L one day and M to Z the other. Both sessions will start at 1.30pm for an hour. Once you have received your letter, please make sure you respond as requested as soon as possible.
