Admissions & New Starters

Please see our Admissions Policy below.

All admissions to Oldfield Primary School must be made through RBWM who deal with all applications.

Criteria for admissions to Community Schools can be found in the Admission Booklet which is available to download from the Royal Borough of Windsor Maidenhead website below. The school admissions section provides a lot of information regarding applications.   ‘Council Services’, ‘Schools and Education’, ‘School Admissions’.

The on-line facility for admission to Early Years in September 2020 is currently closed and any enquiries for any admissions should be made via the website above. If you are making any enquiries or wish to apply for a place at Oldfield, you should contact the Admissions Team at the Local Authority. The school does not allocate places, this must be done through RBWM.

You can find the designated school for your address by clicking on this  Link  or go via the RBWM website link above. Type in the Post Code and this will give you details of the catchment school relative to the address.

*Due to Covid-19, we await  guidance from the DfE on when the school will be able to re-open fully. Unfortunately we are not able to confirm that visits to nurseries, our new parents meeting and induction afternoons will take place. We will advise parents/carers who have been offered a place of any arrangements in due course. The details below are subject to change under the current circumstances.

This page contains all the information and forms you will need before your child starts school in September. We have also included our 'Starting School Booklet 2020' which is available to view as an attachment at the bottom of the page along with all the necessary forms that we will need to be completed before children start in September 2020. The 'Starting School Booklet 2020' will give you information which we hope you will find useful in the meantime, and help you prepare your child/ren with transition to school.

We aim to make your child’s transition to school run as smoothly and happily as possible. *Induction usually starts during the Summer term when the Early Years class teachers will visit children in their Nursery or at home. It continues with a visit for the children to their new class so they can meet and play with their future classmates and join in with some typical classroom activities.

During the latter part of May the school will usually send a letter out to accepted pupils, inviting parents to an information meeting and giving details of the date for their child’s visit. *This is subject to change at present.
